SOUK Present: It Is A Big Issue (Documentary)
The Big Issue Foundation is pleased to announce the premier of a short documentary by independent film makers Richi Fingerz and d.newell photography, supported by SOUK Media Company and funded by RSA Birmingham.
The film challenges young people in Birmingham to talk about their perceptions of homelessness and what it really means to try and sell the magazine to the public.
Warley ABC Training Session
I had a great time documenting then intense weekly boxing training sessions at Warley ABC, this is just one of my many visits that I will be doing to the club to document these young and very talented amateur boxers. Thanks to all at Warley ABC.
Warley ABC Boxing Event…
HERE I had the pleasure of taking photos at Warley ABC boxing event on 3/2/12 at the Platinum Plaza in Halesowen Birmingham. Warley ABC put on an amazing show, high with energy from start to finish, It was a great night out with many talented up and coming boxers of various ages representing various clubs such as Warley ABC, 2nd City ABC, B’ham Irish, Bartley Green, Chelmsley Wood, along with many others from across the country.
I would like to thank Warley ABC for putting on such an entertaining event and all the talented boxers that took part.

It’s no mystery to most that I really enjoy shooting sports… like really, really enjoy shooting sports. I don’t get to do a lot of that in my current position, which is something I knew coming in, so when something sports related comes up I jump on it. A couple of weeks back the opportunity came up to shoot Strictly Boxing for a business profile. I got pretty giddy about the opportunity and spent three hours at the gym making images. When I left the gym I was sweating… it was awesome.
I chatted up the owners and the boxers, left a card and told them to keep in touch. They are supposed to have a few events coming up, hopefully it comes through because I would kill to spend a weekend shooting boxing.

A marabou stork rests on a market rooftop in Kasese district, approximately 350Km (220 miles) west of Uganda’s capital, Kampala. It breeds in Africa south of the Sahara, occurring in both wet and arid habitats, often near human habitation, especially waste tips. It is sometimes called the “undertaker bird,” due to its shape from behind: cloak-like wings and back, skinny white legs, and sometimes, a large white mass of “hair.” Its also one of the largest flying birds in the world. As well as being one of the ugliest looking creatures, the Marabou is also a contender for the bird with the longest wingspan Out of the 19 species of stork, the Marabou is the largest.
